Mini Goldendoodle & Mini Bernedoodle Puppies near Sacramento

If you live in Sacramento and you're looking for a Mini Goldendoodle or Mini Bernedoodle, you don't have to go far. Dainty Doodles is a small, home-based breeder in Placer County, just up the road, and many of our families come from the Sacramento area.

A local doodle breeder for Sacramento families

Buying a puppy close to home has real benefits. You can visit, meet the parents, ask questions face to face and pick up your puppy without a long trip. It also means you have a breeder nearby who can help long after go-home day.

We raise two breeds: Mini Goldendoodles (Golden Retriever x Poodle) and Mini Bernedoodles (Bernese Mountain Dog x Poodle). Both are friendly, people-loving dogs with low-shedding coats that are often a good fit for allergy sufferers. You can meet our moms and dads to see the dogs behind each litter.

How every Dainty Doodles puppy is raised

No matter where you live, every puppy gets the same start:

  • Raised inside our home, not in a kennel or a guardian home, with kids, everyday noise and real routines.
  • DNA health-tested parents, so you can see the health work behind every pairing.
  • Early Neurological Stimulation and hands-on socialization from the first days.
  • Temperament testing, so we can match each puppy to the right family.
  • Early potty, kennel and basic training, at no extra charge.
  • Lifetime support. You can reach out any time, for the life of your dog.

Doodle life in Sacramento

Sacramento is a great city for a doodle, with lots of parks, trails and dog-friendly patios. A few things are worth planning for:

  • Summer heat. Valley summers get hot. Walk early in the morning or after sunset, test the pavement with your hand, and keep fresh water with you.
  • Foxtails. These grass seeds are common in late spring and summer and can get into ears, paws and noses. Check your doodle after walks and keep their coat trimmed around the feet.
  • Coat care. Doodle coats need regular brushing and a groom every 6 to 8 weeks. Book a local groomer early, since good ones fill up fast.
  • Smaller homes and apartments. Mini doodles adapt well to city living as long as they get daily walks, play and time with their people.

How to get a puppy from us

Most of our puppies are reserved before they're born, so the best first step is to look at our upcoming litters and waitlist. Each litter shows the expected size, colors and timing. When you find a pairing you love, send us an inquiry and we'll talk about your home, your schedule and what you're looking for. You can read the details on our prices and policies page.
